How it started

I studied Health Sciences Adult Nursing at the University of Surrey, qualifying with a 2:1 BSc(Hons) in 2002. After five years on acute medical and surgical wards at Leighton Hospital and Yeovil District Hospital, I made the difficult decision to leave nursing due to burnout. I opened a letting agency, a family business, where I was free to provide the high standards of customer care that are so important to me. The business was incredibly successful, but work in health and wellbeing remained my true calling, so I sold up and followed my heart into a career in complementary therapies.

2019

I completed a two-year training programme at the Manchester School of Massage – a VTCT Diploma in Complementary Therapies: Body Massage, Reflexology and Aromatherapy. I set up Weaver Therapies, from my garden studio in Kingsmead, Northwich and went on to complete further qualifications in Reiki Energy Healing, Deep Tissue Techniques, Pregnancy Massage, Indian Head Massage, Hopi Ear Candling, Facial Reflexology, Advanced Facial Reflexology and Thai Stretch Massage.

2022

One of the highlights of my career has been to complete a year-long Certificate in Cancer and Palliative Care, an area very close to my heart due to my experiences as a nurse. I was lucky enough to be taught by some of the best complementary therapists in the country at the HDFT Natural Health School, Harrogate and District NHS Trust.  This equipped me with the knowledge and skills to provide therapies to patients with life-limiting illnesses, including symptom control in end-of-life care.

2023

After identifying the need for patient education about the importance of movement and stretch to help prevent the pain and stiffness for which so many of my clients seek help through massage therapy, I decided to train as a Stretch Coach. I completed a 30hr Science of Stretching Coach training course by YOGABODY Teachers College in May ’23 and launched a stretch coaching programme, teaching people 1-2-1 in my studio how to bring stretch-work into their life to improve flexibility & re-establish full range of motion. Targeted workshops and group classes are on the horizon for 2024, bringing Science of Stretching into the community.

Retreats

In December 2023 I spent 2 weeks at the beautiful Phuket Cleanse retreat in Thailand, a much-needed withdrawal from life to restore my health and wellbeing after going through a tough time personally. I hadn’t anticipated the passion it would ignite in me for breathwork, meditation, yoga and sound healing. I have continued to seek out similar experiences since returning home, including a retreat in Barcelona in May 2024, and am gradually bringing these healing modalities into my complementary therapy practice. My aim is to provide you with a safe space from where you can retreat from life to restore, recharge and rejuvenate.

Hobbies

Outside complementary therapies, Natalie enjoys competing in kettlebell sport, which she started in 2017. She qualified for the England team in 2021 and has since represented her country at National and World Championships in Ireland, Portugal, France, Hungary and Belgium. In 2022, Natalie was crowned British Champion in 16kg OALC (One Arm Long Cycle) Half Marathon (continuous lifting for 30 mins), and IKMF World Champion 16kg OALC Marathon (continuous lifting for 60 minutes) in Belgium.  She has set five new UK records in OALC and Snatch during 2022-2024 and has been awarded IKMF rank of CMS (Candidate for Master of Sport) in Marathon, Half Marathon and Pentathlon lifting. Through her experience as an athlete, Natalie is empathetic to the physical and emotional needs of other sportspeople, and is able help with performance, recovery and injury prevention through massage and stretch coaching.

In her spare time, Natalie also enjoys paddleboarding, mountain biking and trips away in her campervan with her two children and Weaver Therapies mascot, Bonnie the cockerpoo.

A word from Natalie

“Life can be tough. We are constantly faced with time pressures and unnecessary stress. This often manifests itself as “dis-ease” in our body – headaches, aching muscles or joints, high levels of emotion, palpitations, IBS, psoriasis and so much more.

I believe that complementary therapies have an important part to play in maintaining our general health and well-being – physically, mentally and spiritually. At times we may need more frequent support in order to cope with the greater stresses that life and ill-health can bring.

My aim is to help you find your moment of stillness here in my tranquil garden studio in Kingsmead, Northwich. A place and time to retreat, recharge and be cared for. To leave you with a renewed sense of calm and the ability to cope better with life’s challenges, together with freedom from pain and stress.

I use reassuringly high quality natural products, offer aftercare and lifestyle advice, and even take you through a short guided meditation at the start of every session to help you relax and focus on your me-time.

I know how important it is to feel safe and to trust your therapist, especially if you are new to massage therapies or if you are struggling with anxiety and other emotional difficulties.

A peaceful location with zen garden, easy parking and access, underfloor heating, a deeply comfortable therapy couch, a hydration station, calming music and uplifting aromas.

Clean, safe and warm. A beautiful retreat where you can press pause and renew your spirits.
